Hello and Welcome!!
On behalf of the organizing committee for the Mardi Gras for Southlake Golf Tournament, thank you for helping us raise funds for the Cardiac Care Program at Southlake. Your support will allow this tremendous facility to continue the excellent services it provides for York Region. Here are some important details for September 13, 2010 at King Valley Golf Club.
Dress Code
Golf: Clublink is a softspike facility; athletic shoes without spikes can be worn. No jeans on the golf course - other than that, anything goes! A prize for the BEST DRESSED foursome (in Mardi Gras style, of course) will be awarded!
Evening: Bring a change of clothes for the evening. Facilities for changing will be available. Nothing fancy mind you – but as entertaining and “Mardi-Gras-like” as you wish. But basically, beyond jeans, etc. anything goes. Relax on the patio. Enjoy dinner with friends and music from a great live band.
Directions
King Valley is located at 15675 Dufferin Street (L7B 1K5) in King City. From the west, take Hwy 400 north to King Road; east to Dufferin Street; north for approximately 8 minutes (1 km north of Snowball Corners); King Valley is on your right. From the east, take Hwy 404 north to Aurora Road; west to Dufferin Street; turn north and entrance is 1 km north on the east (right) side of Dufferin Street. From the north: take Hwy 400 south to Lloydtown/Aurora Road; south at the lights on Jane Street; east on Lloydtown/Aurora Sideroad; travel approximately 4 km and turn south where the road merges with Dufferin Street; go south about 1 km on Dufferin Street, and King Valley is on your left. Format
The format for the day is a 4 person team, modified scramble. For Par 5’s, best team ball is played for the first two shots, and players play their own ball starting from the 3rd shot. For Par 4’s, best team ball is played for the tee shot, and players play their own ball starting from the 2nd shot. For Par 3’s, players play their own ball for the hole. The two best scores are recorded for each hole. There will be some great prizes to be won, and we have a few surprises planned as well!
The Evening
The tournament will be followed by an evening filled with music from a live band, an authentic Mardi gras dinner, and silent auction to conclude what will be a very enjoyable day for you. All golfers have a ticket for the evening included with their package. Additional guests can participate in the evening for $100. However, if you have one or more golfers not attending the evening function, their tickets can be used by alternate guests for the evening activities.
